Sunday: Vero Beach FL
Sat., Nov. 12. 2005 10:45pm EST
Sunday, November 13, we'll be in Vero Beach FL, just 105 miles from Orlando, 140 miles from Tampa, 145 miles from Miami, and 210 miles from Jacksonville.
We like to refer to this concert as our brief trip from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood to the L.A. Dodgers' Neighborhood.
While our home base of Pittsburgh PA was also the home of the late Fred Rogers, Vero Beach has been the spring home of the Los Angeles Dodgers since 1948. They train there in a place called Dodgertown in February and March, and their Class A farm team plays there all summer long.
Although recently fired Dodgers manager Jim Tracy was just signed by our hometown Pittsburgh Pirates as their new skipper, there is no truth to the rumor that the five guys in ApologetiX are going to Vero Beach as "players to be named later" in some secret deal ... although Keith Haynie is technically our second bassman; Andy Sparks played first :)
