1. BABY (JUST ABOUT) ON BOARD
Things have been going well in the studio this week as we have been recording the vocals for the our upcoming CD, "Keep the Change." However, it's time for me to take a break, because the doctors have decided that our baby is ready to arrive, whether he or she knows it or not!
My wife, Lisa, and I are scheduled to go into the hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. EST, at which time the doctors plan to induce labor. We'd appreciate your prayers for a safe delivery for both Lisa and the baby. Thanks!
2. A WORD FROM BILL
Speaking of motherhood, since we gave the floor to Karl and Keith last week for Mother's Day, our drummer, Bill, we'd like to add a few paragraphs about his mother:
"Its hard sometimes to look back at myself as a teenager and the relationship I had with my mother and not come away with the feeling that I have just kicked a puppy.
"As you may or may not know, my father died when I was 5 and my mother raised three unruly children by herself balancing it between a full time job/ministry and college. To improve our situation and help secure our future she relied on faith and family.
"With that as a role model, its hard to believe that I went in the direction that I did. I disregarded her authority, abused her generosity and trampled her dignity. After years of God constantly answering her prayers for me she looks at me now as a cross between the man she had always hoped I would become and the faultless baby she brought into the world. She holds NONE of it against me. After all, she is my mother and I am now more than ever, her loving son."
3. KARL'S KORNER
And now, here's an update from our guitarist/producer, Karl Messner:
TALK OF THE TOWN
The web has no shortage of discussion group topics, and ApologetiX is not left out of that list! We've found several discussion groups at places like Yahoo groups on ApologetiX and we're honored. ApologetiX fan, Michael Eshom has just started one that he hopes will be a flurry of discussion of the band, and it's ministry. If you have a great story about how ApologetiX has helped your personal life or personal ministry, I'm sure others would love to hear about it. Stop by and leave a message.

Michael also added this:
"I'm not the only one though, so you might want to mention paulsapologetixclub and apologetixfanclub as well." (basic format: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/groupname and groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com)
Michael has also gone as far as making a webring for ApologetiX. For more info, please go to: http://theoldiesmann.tripod.com/apologetix/id5.html
VISIT APOLOGETIX IN STUDIO
We're fast approaching the final days of recording Grace Period, and in the past, we've invited a couple fans from our email buddies to come and hang out at our studio in Western PA for a couple hours and listen in while we put the final vocal tracks down- it's loads of fun.
I can't even remember all the people I've invited, SO, if you're interested I have a few seats and slots available. Email karl@apologetix.com with STUDIO VISIT as the subject if you're really, really interested, and I'll try to schedule in as many folks as I can ;) It's tons of fun.
TAKIN' IT TO THE STREET
ApologetiX fans are the most vocal, active, helpful and cool fans in the world ;) And if that power could be harnessed, who knows where we could take this ministry! One of the secret projects here at ApologetiX headquarters is the organization of our street team. A street team is a group of the most hardcore fans who really, REALLY want to commit to helping ApologetiX get the word out. Street team members do a little something each day to help what God is doing through ApologetiX. When launched, the street team will help get the word out, by calling radio stations, visiting chat rooms and discussions, helping distribute flyers for concerts, and a bunch of other cool things.
There are some special benefits to being in the street team, but it's really for folks who are looking to volunteer and help. If you're willing to dedicate the time and want to be a bigger part of the ApologetiX ministry, email karl@apologetix.com with STREET TEAM in the subject and we'll let you know about the launch.

Luke 18:15
People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
