This Weekend: Three Concerts in PA
Thu., Feb. 2. 2006 8:44am EST
This weekend, February 3-5, we'll be back in our home state of Pennsylvania for three concerts.
Friday night's concert in Lancaster is only 40 miles from Harrisburg, and 80 miles from both Philadelphia and Baltimore MD. Lancaster is famous for its Amish population, but it's also one of the top areas in the country for contemporary Christian music. We'll have a special opening act -- Messenger, an African acapella group featuring teenage missionaries from Swaziland. For more info on them, please go to http://www.projectearthinternational.org/apologetix.html.
Saturday night's concert in McMurray is only 15 miles from both Pittsburgh and Washington PA, and 45 miles from Wheeling WV. McMurray is famous for his roles in "My Three Sons," "The Shaggy Dog," and "Son of Flubber," but ... no, we're sorry, that's Fred MacMurray.
Sunday afternoon's concert in Oakdale is only 15 minutes from Pittsburgh, and it's part of a big Super Bowl pre-game party. Seeing as the Steelers are in the Super Bowl this year, it's sure to be an exciting time. Oakdale is also the town where ApologetiX lead guitarist and producer Karl Messner grew up.
