1. APOLOGETIX 10TH ANNIVERSARY: BIO AND A CONCERT IN PITTSBURGH TONIGHT (THURSDAY)

Believe it or not (or as our bass player, Keith, would say, "Wrigley's Believe it or Not"), it was 10 years ago this week that we played our first concert as ApologetiX. In honor of that, I have written a semi-detailed history of ApologetiX (as best as I remember it), and Karl has graciously posted it to our website as a link on my bio page. If you'd like to check it out, click on this link or go to http://www.apologetix.com/history.html

God has certainly blessed us in the past 10 years, and it's a wonderful blessing to be able to play four concerts in four major cities this week on our 10th anniversary, including the honor of headlining the "CCM Show of Shows" (Hey, to borrow a line from Ten Point Ten, we didn't come up with the title, folks!) tomorrow night in Pittsburgh, our home town. When we started playing at Christian coffee houses, I never dreamed that we'd still be around a decade later, let alone headlining such a show. But our purpose is still the same: to reach and to teach with the message of the Bible.

Tomorrow is also Karl's birthday, if you'd like to send him an e-mail. His address is karl@apologetix.com. E-mails are probably better than e-cards, because those take so long to open and get to that he might not make it to the concert in time! Or better yet, if you're in Pittsburgh, please come out to see us in concert tomorrow night. Since we play last, you'll have plenty of time to get home from work and still make it out to the event.

Furthermore, it's the first anniversary of Bill Rieger's first concert as official ApologetiX drummer. Bill played concerts with us in the winter of 98-99 and in February and March 2001, but his first concert as THE drummer was a year ago this week!

Thursday, March 21, 2002 5-11 pm
1st hundred tickets sold are $10 each. After that, $12.

3. FROM OUR LAST TRIP TO TEXAS

"I was also at the Austin concert and was very impressed. It was my daughter's first concert and we had the best time. I couldn't believe it when we arrived an hour early (usually an overestimate for any events in Austin) and the line was already wrapped around the building! Not only was the music great and a blessing, but y'all are so entertaining! I hope you will continue to travel to Austin. I thank God for your Christian discipleship." Kelli Knight

"I was at your March 8th concert in Austin. That was the best concert I had been to in a long time. Keep up the good work for GOD." Brian Wall

"My husband, myself and my 11 yr. old daughter LOVED your 3/8/02 concert in Austin. Your ministry is such a blessing to parents trying to raise Christian children and to all." Kathy Kuykendall

4. FLINT'S TONES: FEEDBACK FROM LAST SATURDAY'S CONCERT

"Just wanted to let you guys know once again what an awesome concert you did here Saturday night. I have received a lot of positive feedback from a lot of the church family that was there. Also the three other board members thought it was awesome. All the youth that I talked with Sunday morning thought the concert was great and they are looking forward to having the opportunity to see you again. Looking into maybe having you back in the fall maybe around the time your in Holland, MI if your schedule allows it. Your heart for youth is very evident in all that you guys do and I know that you are allowing the Lord to lead you. My prayer for you is that God will continue to open doors for you guys to ministry to kids who desperately need to hear the good news that Jesus saves. You guys are great and I count it a privilege to be able to call you brothers in Christ as we minister to young people. Have a great week and give God all the glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Pastor Pete White, Youth Pastor - First General Baptist Church

"Just wanted to take some time and send you a quick note and tell you how much my family and I were blessed by your concert in Flint this last weekend! Carolyn was very impressed with the patience you had and the attention you gave to the children, as was I. The best way we know to raise them to be Christ-like, is to live that way ourselves. Being able to go as a family to a (this was our third) Apologetix concert, and have a lot of fun while hearing God's truth, and then getting to meet all of you afterwards a rare treat as a Christian parent" John and Carolyn Long

5. THREE APOLOGETIX CDS IN SPRING ARBOR'S TOP 100 FOR 2002

We recently got word from our retail sales guy, Tim Hetchler at Wesscott Marketing, that three of our six CDs are in Spring Arbor's top 100 for sales thus far for 2002. Spring Arbor is one of the nation's top Christian music distributors. We are really blown away. Once again, it isn't the sales that makes this exciting; it's the fact that more and more people are getting the message.

6. SIXTY-PLUS COUPLE ENJOYS APOLOGETIX

"Praise our LORD for your love and dedication in HIM. Myself and my family and friends are so blessed to be ministered to by your inspired lyrics of secular tunes.... my wife and I are 61 and 62 years young and listen to your remakes often and enjoy especially "Narrow Way to Heaven" and "Hotel Can't Afford Ya ... Surprised that you have a couple of almost retirees who groove on your tunes???? I am really looking forward to your possible trip to Arizona, our LORD willing ... We reside in Tucson but are willing to travel to wherever you are led so that we may be able to finally enjoy your ministry in person. Again, thank you for your serving attitude and faithfulness." Bob and Marilyn Johnson

I hate to put the order form so close to the scripture verse, but I had to put it at the end of the e-mail, so it was easier to print out. I'm using this little paragraph as a buffer. Now, on to the most important part:

1 John 5:13
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
