Let's Play Some New States in the Fall of '06
Mon., Jul. 10. 2006 10:11am EDT
We've already booked 102 concerts for 2006, and our previous record for a single year was 103 concerts in 2005, but there are many slots still open in our fall schedule. The reason for this is that we didn't want to book things too far in advance; however, we will be booking the fall very soon.
We still hope to visit many more states we haven't been to yet this year. We develop friendships in every state we play, and we miss visiting the places we haven't been to in a while. Plus, our drummer, Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner, has only seen seen half of the states (26 as of July 4), and we want him to meet the rest of you. There are a number of states our keyboardist, Bill Hubauer, has yet to play as well.
Where we play depends on what opportunities arise and how well we can fit them into our travel plans and budget (especially for those concerts out west that require air travel). But you can help us plan! If you'd like to invite ApologetiX to consider your church for our fall 2006 tour, please click on this link and tell us all about your church or event:
The states where we get the best responses will be the ones we're most likely to visit. Here are some clusters of states we haven't played yet in 2006 that we could feasibly hit in one weekend:
Delaware, Rhode Island and New Jersey
Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont
North Carolina, Georgia, and any state that has a direct flight from Delta's hub in Atlanta
Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah
New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah
North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska
Louisiana and Arkansas
Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota
Washington, Oregon, and Idaho
There are all sorts of combinations. Let your imagination run wild. Of course, we're always open to playing more concerts in states we've already visited in 2006.
If you'd like to see us play near you but can't book a concert yourself, there's still something you can do: pray for opportunities to open up for us in your state. God answers prayers like that.
We hope to hear from you (and to see you) soon!
