Novel Ideas: 3 Fans Who Are Authoresses
Mon., Jul. 24. 2006 12:41pm EDT
Hey, we know somebody famous!
Our pal Audra Knatcal, who has seen us play (and helped us run our merchandise table) at more concerts in more states than we can count, has published her first novel! Of course, like many other authors, Audra has elected to use a pen name, maybe because she knows how much trouble we've had pronouncing and spelling "Knatcal" over the years. :)
The book is titled "I Called Him Bill," and Audra tells us the book was titled after ApologetiX alumnus drummer Bill "Moose" Rieger. Our current drummer, Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner, had these words of encouragement for Audra:
"Congrats on your book! I fully expect your next book to be called ... 'I Called Him Vegas' :-)"
Audra is one of the sweetest people we've ever met, and we're very proud of her. "I Called Him Bill" is available on www.barnesandnoble.com and www.amazon.com, and it can also be ordered directly from the publisher:

Just enter either the author (Jaela Darling) or the title (I Called Him Bill) and it should pull it right for you.
Audra also has her own website:

Congratulations also to Carol Eklof (Jon's wife and Missy's mom), another ApologetiX fan who's seen us an unbelievable number of times in a ridiculous number of states, who informed us Sunday in Kimberly WI that she'd just completed writing her first novel.
Audra and Carol aren't the only ApologetiX fans who are authors. Aimee Bontreger (see the story on Van Ailin' III in this week's issue) is well into her second novel and has gotten great response from editors who've had a chance to see her writing.
