Please Come to Portland for the Second Time
Sun., Sep. 3. 2006 2:27pm EDT
O.K., we admit it; we don't make it out to the Northwest enough. It's a shame, because we've played some of our favorite concerts there, and the locals send us great emails like this one from Danika Hill in Portland OR:
I have two purposes for emailing today. The first is to tell you that I've become so well known as a fan among the teens I work with at church that they are now calling me Karl after your guitarist because I am such an Apologetix nut. I think that's kinda cool. Weird, but still cool.
The second is to bug you guys again about coming back out to the northwest again, preferably Portland. I would love the opportunity to share what I experienced in Hamilton MT last year with my teens. (Yes, I was that wacko who came all the way from Portland just to see you guys in concert.)
There is a church on the west side that is plenty large enough to host a concert. I can look into making arrangements if you guys are interested in making the trek out here again. And, hey, it's Portland. It's not like we don't have venues here. Anyway, I'd be very happy to get the ball rolling.
Thanks for being true to you mission to "reach and teach", and turning out such awesome music. Sharing your music has become a great way to break the ice with those who think that you have to be boring to be Christian. Keep up the good work! :-)
Thanks, Danika! We first played Portland on December 6, 2003 -- our 600th concert ever. We've played five concerts in Oregon, and we were originally supposed to be back on Labor Day Weekend, but the event was cancelled. But we'd love to come back.
If you and/or any of our other fans are interested in booking a concert, please go to the link below and tell us all about your church or event:
