More About Friday's Benefit Concert in Arizona
Wed., Apr. 29. 2009 7:38am EDT
Friday's concert in Sierra Vista AZ is a benefit concert for Arron Daniels, station manager at 90.9 FM The Spark in Sierra Vista and a longtime friend of ApologetiX. Proceeds from all ticket sales will go to the "Arron Daniels Medical Fund."
Five years ago, Arron was 220 pounds overweight and diagnosed with severe diabetes. With a major lifestyle change, diet and exercise, he's since lost 100 pounds. However, his body is now rejecting the medicine and he needs surgery to correct some problems due to the diabetes.
Arron's doctors state that he's the perfect candidate for a surgical procedure that's been very effective in helping treat his type of diabetes. Because it is relatively new, Arron's insurance won't cover the $17,000 procedure, despite his appeals.
Consequently, Arron's pastor, Dennis Nitschke of New Hope Fellowship Church, established at Wells Fargo Bank "The Arron Daniels Medical Fund" (Account #1226387221), which the church controls.
Arron's an old friend who has introduced our music to many people over the years. We hope this concert will raise both funds for and awareness of his needs. It's the very least we can do show our support for him.
Please keep Arron in your prayers.
