Update on Our Recent Appeal for Help
Mon., Jul. 13. 2009 4:00pm EDT

In our last newsletter, we described a financial crisis we were facing which was brought on partially by recent problems we'd had with our bus and trailer and the repairs, maintenance and fuel costs associated with them.

It was difficult and embarrassing for us to ask, but God has amazed us with an incredible response from our fans -- donations from those who could afford it, prayers from those who couldn't, and encouraging emails and hand-written notes from both. It's a moment in ApologetiX history we will never forget.

Many of those fans made a point of telling us that we shouldn't be ashamed to make our needs known. Frankly, the needs we face are great in many areas, but God has given us a tremendous sign for good. The finances He has supplied through your generosity and the comfort He has provided through your correspondence give us the hope and belief that He wants us to carry on with this.

As we said in that article, the bus and trailer are only part of our financial needs. This economy has affected us, just as it has affected you, and there are many other expenses associated with operating a full-time band which is both a ministry and a business. As it is with everybody else, things happen to us as a band that cause financial setbacks, debts, etc., and the last year has been particularly tough.

For example, now that airlines baggage fees have gone through the roof, it cost us almost $600 in baggage fees for our flights this weekend, whereas not too long ago, it would have been free. We face those kind of things every time we fly. In addition, we've had (and still have) sound and lighting equipment that needed (and still needs) fixed and/or replaced.

And those are just a few examples. We won't bore you with additional ones, because it'll sound like we're whining, and we don't want to do that. We're incredibly blessed to be able to do Christian music ministry full time.

Musical performers of all kinds, including ourselves, have taken an increasingly severe beating financially this decade, starting with the events of September 11, 2001. We've been trying to play catch-up ball ever since, and it's become increasingly difficult. But, thanks to you, we definitely seem to be on the right track for getting healthy again.

If you are a fan who still wishes to give, you can do so via PayPal, credit card, bank card or straight from your bank account by clicking the link below to our secure site:

http://www.apologetix.com/store/store-donate.php

If you wish to donate by check or money order, you can make them payable to "ApologetiX" and send them to ApologetiX, 208 Charlemma Drive, PIttsburgh PA 15214-1414. Thank you and God bless you.

We have the greatest fans in the world, and we take great pleasure in encouraging others we meet by telling them how God has blessed us through you. As we said in the previous article, please do not give if you cannot afford it. We will just as gladly accept your prayers on our behalf. Thank you so much!
