Tanya Tucker Digs ApologetiX

Country music superstar Tanya Tucker has amassed 40 Top 10 country hits over the years. Ten of those went to number one, including "What's Your Mama's Name," "Blood Red and Goin' Down," "Lizzie and the Rainman," and "Strong Enough to Bend."
Tanya Tucker of Portales NM has no Top 10 hits thus far, but she does have the latest ApologetiX hit CD, The Boys Aren't Backin' Down. She joins a growing group of ApologetiX fans who have famous names without the fame, including Michael Jordan, C.S. Lewis, David Cassidy, Johnny Carson, Steven Tyler, Davy Jones, Danny Partridge, and yes, Ziggy Stardust.
Here's what Tanya had to say when we asked her about the burden of having a famous name:Yeah, I get some second looks when I show my I.D. and some questions over the phone. It's kind of fun most of the time, but people always ask me if I sing and I give my usual reply, "I can't carry a tune in a bucket!"
I love music though, especially Christian music. A friend let me listen to some of your songs and I was hooked. Your music makes me laugh a lot and I also really appreciate the irony of taking a popular secular tune and bringing it around to glorify God. That is so awesome.
Usually it is the other way around; the world takes something good that God has given to us and corrupts it and destroys the beauty of it. Keep on doing what your doing.
