This Past Weekend in IN & IL
Wed., Aug. 31. 2011 1:26pm EDT

We played a variety pack of concerts this past weekend -- Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning. Friday, we made a return trip to a church in Bloomfield IN we'd played last September. Saturday, we performed at the Sangamon River Music Festival in Mahomet IL and became the first Christian band to ever play at this annual event. Sunday, we played a big part of Sunday morning service at Mahomet Christian Church.

Here are some email excerpts from our concert coordinators:

We're very honored to host you two years. Thanks for sharing your ministry with us. We enjoyed your testimonies, and glad to meet Todd this year as well.

Tasha Hudson

Your kind words are a blessing to us ... a blessing upon ApologetiX being with us. I am so glad we were able to be a blessing to you as well. God is so good. Sorry to hear about the bus, but sure glad everyone made it home safely. Again, our thanks to ApologetiX for "taking back" and for inspiring us to do the same!

David Johnson, Minister
Mahomet Christian Church
Mahomet IL
Here are some email and Facebook excerpts from fans in attendance:
At the concert in Bloomfield, J. spoke of his daughters asking Christ into their hearts. My six-year-old daughter has been talking about being baptised for about a year now. But she has always been "too nervous". We told her that when it was time she would know. After hearing J.'s story I prayed that Jesus would come into her heart.

Today (Sunday after the concert) she went forward at church and will be baptised at 5:30 p.m. this evening. Her birth is a miracle from God as we were told we could not have children. I promised God that if he gave me a child I would give it over to Him as best I could. Tonight I get to keep that promise. Thank you and thanks to our Wonderful Lord and Savior!

Kim Overman

It was amazing! And thank you for signing two CDs for me!

Jared Schonert

So enjoyed your concert in Mahomet! You guys are amazing...and funny too :-). But most of all I love the message of Jesus that you bring!

Diane Sigler

You all did a wonderful job performing Saturday at Riverfest. First time seeing you really enjoyed it.
