J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.

Thanks to all the Tennesseans and Georgians who came to see us in Chattanooga TN last weekend. Y'all were great! Thanks to Marty, Carrie and their daughter, Trunk Girl (sorry, her true identity is secret), for buying me the Tennessee Titans shirt. Being from Pittsburgh, it would have been hard for me to purchase one. In fact, I think it's illegal to purchase or sell any Titans memorabilia within 100 miles of Pittsburgh. They lifted the ban after the Titans left the AFC Central, but they imposed a new one after the Titans beat the Steelers in overtime in the AFC Playoffs in January 2003 :)

This weekend we'll be headlining at what I'm told is Milwaukee's only non-alcoholic (think about the major industries of Milwaukee and you'll realize the significance) music festival, a free church-sponsored event called the Fisherman's Festival. Milwaukee Brewers fans are still welcome, though. Let's face it; you guys need as much positive input as possible. I know you won your game last night, but your batters struck out, what, 26 times?

Anyway, we LOVE Wisconsin. Maybe that guy in the Weird Al movie "UHF" can say, "We don't need no stinkin' badgers," but we can't, not if they're Wisconsin Badgers. O.K., I'll get off that topic and onto the news while I await the customary email I receive from Canada every time I place too much emphasis on sports in these newsletters.

You know, it just hit me, it's no wonder that we do so well in Wisconsin. God has prepared us for it from the start. Not only do I love cheese in my food, my lyrics and my jokes, when I was a kid I used to write and draw my own comic books, and my main superhero was called the Badger. I think somebody else has come up with a character called the Badger in comics since then, but my character predated him.

Anyway, we hope to see some of you in Milwaukee! Psst ... don't tell our drummer, Bill, that we'll be in the same town as a huge place where the make Harley Davison motorcycles. I don't know how much he'd get in trade for our 15-passenger van, but I know that all of us wouldn't fit on one bike.
