Prayer Update: Mark & Moose
Fri., Apr. 24. 2015 10:51am EDT
Last week, we told you about two members of the all-time ApologetiX team who needed prayer, soundman Mark Bodin and drummer/guitarist Bill "Moose" Rieger. Here's an update:
Mark is now home from the hospital. They found a very small hole in his heart, but it will not require any major surgery. He thanks you for your prayers.
Moose, meanwhile, still needs your prayers. On Thursday he reported the following:
I'm in constant pain. It's not horrible pain, but it's constant. The only relief is the pain meds. After one week of PT, the therapist says there's nothing more she can do. She called the doctor to ask him for the MRI. The doctor ordered the MRI, and the insurance won't cover it. Please join us in praying for Moose. Our prayers that Mark wouldn't need major surgery were answered. Let's hope they will be for Moose, too!
After several conversations about the severity of my condition, my new prayer is that I can fix it with therapy. The professionals are saying surgery. We all know that once they start cutting into your spine, it's only a matter of time before they operate again.
I am still confident that God will be glorified through this somehow. The worse it gets, the greater the testimony we will all have.
