From a Foster Mom in Colorado

Colorado is well known for its altitude, but these email comments from a fan there took us to new heights:You guys are so special to us. We were foster parents to the so called "worst of the worst" kids — ones that were on their way to growing up in an institution. We wanted to ground them in Christ in a fun way. We decided to build a "funhouse" each year. It started small with maybe 12 boxes, a dance room, a fog machine, and strobe light.
I have to tell you what your band has meant to our neighborhood over the years. For seven years we ran this Christian Bible maze in our cul de sac to give kids of all ages a more holy choice on Halloween. We had a maze made of about 30 refrigerator boxes with trap doors, fog machines, Bible stories throughout, sound and light effects that kids could crawl through while learning about the Bible.
We would give them a question about the Bible and if they found it (which they always did), they would get a prize. We ended up of LOTS of gothic teens and others who would stay till about midnight and just hang out and talk to us. This was probably the only place that many kids were welcome.
I have to say they blessed me as well, just talking to them and learning about their struggles and questions about God. We would have about 400 kids and teens partying here each year. YOUR music was used exclusively in the dance room we had in our driveway.
Most kids thought your music was the original artists and a few kids got saved each year. Your music and the words there in were part of that. Your re-writing of the words had a HUGE impact on so many kids. I can only imagine how many people have given their lives to Christ during those years because of what you guys do. It's that special. We don't have much cash but decided that you guys are going to be the ministry we need to support.
We LOVE you guys. I also am an artist and do outdoor and other festivals here in Colorado for a living. We only play
ApologetiX music. Customers love it! In fact, at the Douglas county rodeo last spring, there was a Christian guy that had rented a booth telling the story of creation vs evolution. I turned him on to you guys, gave him my cherished Hot Potato Soup CD.
Funny thing is I made no money at that show — nothing — and afterward I realized the reason I was there was to give that guy that CD! Sometimes when bad stuff happens (like not making money) God shows you the REAL plan he had for you that day. You guys are blessing everyone you encounter; I guarantee it.
Your 2nd biggest fan (next to Jesus Christ),
