Update: What's Going On & What's Gone Wrong?

J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here again.
Unfortunately, we won't have a new single this weekend, and there's a good chance we won't have one next weekend, either. If that bums you out, imagine how much it makes us feel.
We try to put out two new songs every two weeks, but, as I mentioned previously, we've had some critical computer issues in the studio that have seriously slowed things down over the past few months.
Those issues have made it difficult to record new tracks. That's why you've seen longer gaps between singles lately. It's not for lack of trying. Jimmy and Eve have been working hard and consulting experts in order to get things fixed, and there are some bright spots on the horizon.
It reminds me of previous years when we had a rash of bus issues that kept forcing us to cancel concerts — more circumstances beyond our control. I remember how stressful that was. But God brought us through all that somehow, and I'm trusting Him to do it again.
Last weekend, Jimmy was finally able to figure out a way to work around some of the issues and record some drums for a bunch of new parodies, and we do have guys in the band working on them. In fact, we have four different guitarists simultaneously working on separate songs for us.
But they just got the drum tracks to work with, and recording the guitars takes time. In the past, we've had a backlog of tracks already into production that we could work on while waiting for guys to finish new ones. We don't have that luxury right now.
The bottom line is: We're working hard to get things back up to speed, but we need help while we're doing that. It's embarrassing for me to say that, but I'd rather be embarrassed than to hold onto my pride and have people wonder whatever happened to ApX after it was too late.
Donations that come from singles are a huge part of our income, and without our usual steady flow of singles, giving has decreased dramatically. Unfortunately, we still have the same bills to pay, and the band is still way behind in paying me (and I still have the same bills to pay).
If you'd like to help, there are different ways you can do so:
1. Pray (the most important thing)
2. Get singles, CDs, DVDs, etc. at http://apologetix.com/store
3. Get our USBs at http://apologetix.com/store/store.php#USB
4. Give online at http://apologetix.com/store/store-donate.php
5. Give by mail: ApologetiX, 208 Charlemma Dr., Pittsburgh PA 15214
Donations aren't tax deductible, and please don't feel compelled to give. It's not our desire to put other people in a precarious financial spot in order to help us. Anything we get comes from God. We just let down our nets, hope for the best, and He'll take care of the rest.
