Prayer Request & Praise Report from Louisville KY
Fri., Oct. 5. 2018 11:32am EDT
We received this message from ApologetiX fan Clint Walker Jr. in Louisville KY on September 7:What you guys are doing is very important and is a huge blessing to all of us fans! I have many wonderful memories of jamming out to your music on the factory assembly line at Ford Motor CO. I know I won you at least one fan while I was working there.
You guys are awesome and allow an old rocker like me enjoy the music if his youth in a truly godly way! We are praying for total success for you guys in this money crunch! God bless you! Unfortunately, in the span of three weeks, poor Clint went from praying for us to needing desperate prayer himself. We received this email from him last Saturday:Hey just wanted you to know you guys are in my prayers. I have a huge favor to ask I know you don't know me personally, but I am putting out a prayer request to every Christian I know.
My beautiful wife of 30 years is laying in a hospital bed as I type this on a ventilator and they are telling me they are pretty sure she had a stroke and there is a good possibility of her dying. This is the love of my life and my best friend.
On top of all of this I am stuck here at home because I am her bedridden mother's primary caregiver and also I am unable to drive due to me having vision loss. Please have everyone you know pray for us.
God is my rock and fortress but man this the hardest thing I have ever been through! Thank you for your awesome music — it has been a major coping tool for me through all this! We shared the email among the band members and prayed for Clint and his wife, and then he sent us another email My son came and took me to the hospital to see Angela she is doing a whole lot better she's back mentally but is still on the ventilator. She was able to hold my hand and I got to actually communicate with her a little. She could not talk with tubes down her throat but was able to nod her head in response to my questions and speak to me through her beautiful brown eyes.
After 30 years of marriage, I know her looks so to me she was able to speak volumes! She cried when she saw me! :) Feels like the sun breaking through the clouds after a horrible storm! Praise God for his mercy and kindness!
I am standing on the rock of Jesus and he will bring my Angela back to me! By the way, (the ApologetiX parody) "More than a Healing" has been my marching song through this all! God bless you guys! We asked Clint if it would be OK if we shared this info in the newsletter and asked our fans to pray and he replied as follows:Yes, please do! The more prayer we have to the greater the victory! She still has a long hard road to travel and I do, too. It's hard for me to be there with her very much I can't drive anymore and I am staying here at home taking care of her mother who is bedridden. Thank you for the very kind offer!
