WI Fan Celebrates Special ApX Anniversary

Shaleigh Sugden is the multi-media communications administrator for Community Evangelical Free Church in Platteville WI and has been an ApX fan for many years. What makes her story special is that she became a believer in Jesus Christ at her first ApX show. Earlier this week, she sent us this email:For about six months now our church has been sending out the "C-blast," just an online newsletter about news in our church. This goes out to about 300 people each week, which can be a little intimidating. But from the beginning, our Pastor wanted me to make it my own, so it's been fun to kind of put little Shaleigh fingerprints throughout it.
About 80 percent of the time I do some kind of devo or encouragement at the beginning of the C-blast. Since last Friday worked out to be 2/22, I figured I would use the C-blast to celebrate my second birthday, which you had a part of! So I wanted to send this along to you and say another thank you for all you've done throughout the years.
God had definitely used you in my life and the lives of so many people to point us to Him. ApologetiX is so evidently a ministry of love for the Lord and for others to know Him . And I'm really thankful for all of you and what you do to make His Name and His Word known. Praying for you all, and so very thankful that our paths crossed all those years ago!
Broken People; Perfect God.
A note of encouragement from Shaleigh Sugden
We've had a lot of consistent snow in the last few weeks. And we've had a lot of consistent snow removal in the last few weeks too by our very own Leonard Ross Leonard has been working tirelessly to make sure that our church sidewalks are safe to walk on and he does what he can to clear the parking lot.
For those who don't know him, Leonard is a servant. He shows his love for Jesus and points other people to the Lord through his service here at church. Because of his servant heart, we can make it into this clean, safe building to meet and share in God's love.
I think it's safe to say that we all have people in our lives who point us to Jesus, whether we know it or not. Some people use words or teaching. Others serve quietly in the background. Some people pray for us, that we would know God better through our circumstances.
Exactly 17 years ago today (2/22), I met Jesus for the first time at a Christian rock concert of all places. Today I'm thankful that the guys from the band ApologetiX cared about people enough to talk about Jesus at their concerts. They wanted to use their talents to point people to Jesus. And I'm thankful that God put them in my life, and He called me to Himself during that concert.
I don't know who's in your life that has encouraged you to love Jesus more, or to meet Jesus for the first time, but my encouragement today is to take the time to thank them. Show your appreciation for how God created them and has called them to share His love.
The amazing thing about the Gospel is that the Lord can use broken people to point to a perfect God. So take some time today to thank those broken people who love Jesus. And let's celebrate His perfect goodness and grace together. Thanks for always remembering us, Shaleigh. We are so honored that God allowed us to be a part of the testimony of what He has done in your life. We're especially excited to see how He continues to work in your life!
