ApologetiX was the focus of last week's episode of The Antidote, an award-winning syndicated radio program originating from Trent Radio 92.7 FM in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, since 2011. The hour-long feature included an interview with ApX lead singer and lyricist J. Jackson and selected songs from the ApX catalog.
In 2018, The Antidote won the NCRA national radio award for "best in syndication." The show's content ranges from indie folk to metalcore, depending on the epsiode. It features artists who share a spiritual viewpoint in their music.
The Antidote does not take an evangelical approach; the program is designed to look at the artistic merit of the music. Wow, can you believe somebody thought our music has artistic merit? :)
A few of the artists interviewed and featured on The Antidote have included: Spencer Chamberlain (Underoath, Sleepwave), Mutemath, John Mark McMillan, Steve Taylor, Scott Stapp (Creed), Josh Scogin ('68, The Chariot), Remedy Drive, August Burns Red, Hee Sun Lee, Andy Hunter, Randy Stonehill, Burlap To Cashmere, RED, Disciple, Future of Forestry, Mae, Aaron Sprinkle, Spoken, Showbread, Gideon, Dale Thompson (Bride), Project 86, Stryper, Phinehas, Thousand Foot Krutch, Demon Hunter, Love and Death, Aaron Gillespie, For Today, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Flatfoot 56, Family Force 5, Five Iron Frenzy, The O C Supertones, The Violet Burning, Squad Five-O, etc.
