Prayer Update on Darnell & Sonja Cline

We received good news this week from ApX fan Sonja Cline about her husband, Darnell, who has been in battling severe complications from COVID.

Here's what Sonja had to say on Thursday:
I just got this news yesterday and I've been so encouraged. His physical therapist called yesterday afternoon with this miraculous news:
He actually was able to move his legs, his feet, his toes, his arms and his hands and fingers! It wasn't great big giant moves but it was still moves nonetheless and I am so excited. Also he was able to tell them his birthdate by nodding his head as they went through the month day and year — this is so awesome because it proves that his cognitive abilities are truly returning.
They also began to wean him off the ventilator. When they do that, they turn off the vent to allow him to breathe on his own. And he made it thru his first two-hour vent wean yesterday, and they will continue doing this with him every day as long as he tolerates it. Hallelujah!
These are the things we still need to pray about:
Of course just overall healing and total restoration. He still has a lot of infection. For example, he still has infection in his lungs and in his bowels and he is still fighting a staph infection.
Cognitively, he is making great progress but still has a ways to go. All of his brain scans and his EEG came back normal. His PTL, however, he still shows a bit of confusion.
His body is extremely weak from lack of use. He still has a pretty nasty cough. They are having to do dialysis on him daily.
And of course, pray that they can wean him completely off of the vent and get that trach out of him so that he can begin recovering his speech and be able to eat and drink normally again.
I know that when we suffer storms for Christ that in the end He makes us strong, firm, and steadfast.
I can't thank you enough for all you have done for my family and me in prayer and getting all the word out to our other brothers and sisters so they can pray as well.
