Serious Prayer Request for the Jennings Family
Sat., Dec. 18. 2021 4:51pm EST
Please pray for ApX fan Jeff Jennings and his wife, Toni, who live with their four young children (ages 13 to 2) in Afton TN. We mentioned them before in our October 30 newsletter. Jeff and Toni have faced many health crises in recent years, and they are each in the midst of more of them right now.
Jeff has a mysterious condition affecting his digestive system that has caused him to lose well over 100 pounds in the past several months. He is barely able to get out of bed, and his arms and legs feel like they are wasting away. The local doctors have examined him but haven't been very helpful, and they don't want to do anything about his situation until the new year.
In the meantime, Jeff is concerned that he could very possibly be dying. He has a strong faith, but he wants to get better, so he can take care of his wife and kids. On top of that, Toni has been having serious issues with her gall bladder for months, although it looks like the local hospital is finally willing to remove it and plans to do so very soon. But they don't have anyone who will babysit their kids, so Jeff can't be there with her, even if he somehow musters the strength to do so, and she's never had surgery before.
ApX lead singer J. Jackson has talked with Jeff on the phone a number of times in the past year, including Friday, December 18, and has emailed and messaged with him many other times over the years. Jeff and Toni are godly people who are trying their best to raise their kids despite numerous medical and financial challenges. They have experienced a lot of suffering without wavering in their faith and without much support from their family or local churches.
"Listening to poor Jeff," J. says, "I am totally overwhelmed just hearing all he and Toni are going through. I can't even imagine how overwhelming it must be to actually be experiencing it first hand. Please pray for them. These are legit believers with legit problems. In the midst of all that, Jeff asked me if I have any problems he could pray for, but I really don't think I face anything worth comparing with the stuff they're dealing with."
