The Best News from Last Week

We received plenty of good news last week, but the best for ApologetiX lead singer J. Jackson was on Tuesday, June 7. J. explains:
The morning of June 7, my oldest daughter, Janna, said to me, "I was telling Heather what would happen whenever she asked Jesus in her heart, and I heard her say something and I found out that she was asking Jesus into her heart."
Heather told us that she'd said, "Jesus come in my heart," and she used hand motions, too. She was quite excited to tell us.
For the past several months, we'd asked Heather, "Where does Jesus live?" and she'd say, "In my heart!" But we didn't know if she'd officially done it on a Sunday morning or Wednesday night at church.
She's been praying on her own for some time, but now we're sure. Heather just turned three. When Janna was three, I asked her if she wanted to ask Jesus into her heart, but she said she wasn't ready. A year later, she was ready, and asked Him in and told others. Since then, she's told other kids how to do it (on her own, not with us prodding), and now Heather.
Praise the Lord! Needless to say, we're very proud of both Heather and Janna. As I mentioned from the stage at our concert this past Friday night, Jesus said that whoever receives the kingdom of Heaven must be do it as a little child (They don't have to BE a little child, but they have to receive it with the faith of a little child. The Bible says salvation is a gift (Ephesians 2:8-9) that can't be earned. Children accept gifts and don't think they have to do anything to "earn" them.
If a three-year-old like Heather can receive Christ, it's not too soon (or too late) for you. If an eight-year-old like Janna can share Christ, it's not soon (or too late) for you, either!
