J. Jackson, lead singer for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.

I'm emailing you from the hotel in Hawaii, where we've just finished another hard day of tourist adventures and soaking up the sun. The other night, we went to a luau with the world famous Christian band FFH, who will be performing with us in Honolulu tonight (Friday) and tomorrow night (Saturday). They were very nice folks and we look forward to playing with them.

Today (it's still Thursday night in Honolulu as I type this), we started the day with an interview with KAIM 95.5 The Fish in Honolulu, and tomorrow we'll be recording a television show for TBN's Honolulu affiliate's "Praise the Lord."

Karl has been diligently recording this trip (and all of our recent concerts since late August) with our new digital camera. If you'd like to check out some photos, please go to:

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for our health. The illness that was afflicting Keith, me, my wife, Lisa, and possibly Karl seems to be gone. Unfortunately, Bill wasn't feeling so well today, so please keep him in your prayers. Thanks!

3. "SMOOTH GRANDMAMA" HITS #28

"Smooth Grandmama," the first single from our new "Grace Period" CD, has moved up to #28 on the national Christian rock charts, after entering the charts for the first time last week. We have also started performing this song in our concerts and are getting a great response. This song is one of our favorites because it delivers plenty of laughs but still has the serious message of salvation at its center.


4. PRAYER REQUEST

Here's an update from our former drummer and lifelong friend, Fred Behanna, whose younger daughter, Beth, has already been through several battles with Hodgkins Disease:

Beth just called at 4:30. The scans show that there is Hodgkins in her chest. Her liver and lungs are clear and it is confined to the chest area. The doctor is going to reduce some of the medicines that are used to keep Brandy's (Fred's older daughter) stem cells in check and let them attack more aggressively than they have been. Beth will take another scan in about 6 weeks to see how things are going ... and the saga continues :(
