Build the Bus

The Rabensteins left this morning after finishing up. While we tightened up a few odds and ends, Ted Davidson showed up with his sister, mom and two neices. MEANWHILE, ApologetiX fan and seamstress for the band, Wanda Rose Bush was busy in HER corner of the world sewing the mattress covers for the mattresses Karl designed for the bunks. Special thanks to former concert promoter and long time friend, Hope Johnson for spending the day with Wanda working on those mattresses!

We’re getting down to the wire. If you’d like to come to the Messner farm and work on the bus, please let us know. ESPECIALLY if you have any experience in Plumbing, welding, construction anything. Even if you don’t, we’re down to the wire and want to give everyone a chance to help who wants to. Email j@apologetix.com if you do. (and put “I’m ready to build the bus” in the subject.

And we’re down to the wire with the funding. If you’ve been putting that off, or want to give more, please please do! We’re SO CLOSE, but we won’t have the money to get the tires for the 10 day trip. They’re $400 apiece, there’s 8 of them and they’re not totally bald, but we were planning on replacing them and keeping two of them for spares.

Once we get done, we have to spend some money getting the engine looked over, and possibly replaced. We still haven’t found a diesel mechanic in our neck of the woods (Cranberry Township, PA)
